11 Summers

As many know and if you don't know Greg and I both spend are summers (over 2 months) away from home, at a place called Culver Summer Schools and Camps.  I know it seems crazy especially being photographers - you're probably thinking..."but it's the busy time of year for a photographer."  And of course you would be right.  It has been a sacrifice - turning down great jobs, leaving the comfort of our home, and missing out on quality time with our family - but to us it's worth so much more.  I've worked at Culver now for 10 summers (going on 11), and every year it seems I try to explain to people why it is I go back.  I talk about the amazing kids, how beautiful it is, and the friends we've made (our "Culver Family"), but I feel like they never truly understand.  I always say, "you just have to come see the place."  Well, I think I've found the perfect solution.  The camp have recently begun to put together a new promotional video, and I think it definitely gives you an idea of what Culver is.  This is just the first of 3 segments - I'll be sure to post the rest later. Enjoy! :)

**PS - Although we are away for the summers, sessions are always welcome at Culver!  We do have some free evenings and there are some really beautiful locations around Lake Maxinkuckee :)
